THE ROLE:

The BU Marketing Operations Excellence Manager will be responsible for building operational efficiencies for the internal Server business unit and run processes for the AMD marketing funding frameworks. The Analyst will implement and manage internal marketing budgets as well as ISV funding programs with cross functional teams and interact directly with internal partners including Ops, finance, and regional teams.

 

THE PERSON:

The candidate will need to be prepared to jump in and learn quickly. The person will have the ability to lead sophisticated budgets and operationalize co-marketing agreements and needs to be proficient in Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint. The candidate will have strong business acumen and be able to coordinate cross-functionally with multiple teams within AMD . Strong organization skills and attention to detail are required. The individual should be results-driven with an emphasis on relationship building with a strategic focus to enable strong desirable outcomes.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Lead and supervise AMD marketing and co-marketing budgets - working cross-functionally with external partners, sales, product managers, finance and marketing ops
  2. Develop and manage WW co-marketing funds and program terms with ISV partners; Communicate strategy and fund guidelines with ISV's and External Vendors
  3. Work and collaborate in lockstep with AMD Global Account Management teams to operationalize marketing programs designed to drive demand and sales velocity through several channels including digital, retail, training, events and more
  4. Be the primary interface representing BU marketing interests in short / long range planning conversations
  5. Work with AMD's marketing teams to measure the effectiveness of programs and be able to apply learnings for future programs
  6. Strategically prioritize, allocate, manage, execute, and track internal marketing funds to support activities with highest potential ROI and revenue impact
  7. Establish and update quarterly KPI programs and communicated expected measurable results through co marketing programs with customers and internal stakeholders
  8. Deliver on business-critical projects around revenue, margin and spends as needed
  9. Deliver operational excellence removing roadblocks from strategic execution
  10. Develop budget and dashboard content for key BU and leadership reviews

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Relevant experience in marketing operations, strategy, or finance
  • Technical and business acumen in the datacenter space with a strong understanding of B2B marketing concepts
  • Self-motivated and prepared to jump in and lead
  • Exceptional presentation, communication, and storytelling ability in presentation formats and verbally
  • A proven track record of keeping projects on schedule and within budget
  • Background in marketing fundamentals (Budget and contract management experience)
  • Ability to meet challenging timelines
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Thorough understanding of current marketing strategies, digital platforms, and trends
  • Creative problem solving and accountability
  • Sharp, responsible, and highly organized
  • Ability to plan and prioritize multiple tasks effectively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, Power BI a bonus
  • Ability to communicate optimally (verbal and written) in a global, cross-functional, multi-cultural organization
  • Strong analytical ability and detail oriented
  • Creative problem solving and accountability

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Marketing preferred
  • 3-5 years relevant experience
