THE ROLE:
As part of our team, you'll be a leading the enablement of Nutanix software stacks (AOS/AHV, AOS/ESXi) on new AMD EPYC server platforms. You will also work with leading OEM engineering teams to enable Nutanix appliances based on OEM AMD servers; this will involve end to end engineering debug and resolution of any functional issues and performance analysis and tuning of AMD based Nutanix OEM appliance clusters
THE PERSON:
You're a highly motivated team player with a strong Nutanix development background, problem solving mentality, excellent communication skills, ability to prioritize tasks along with willingness to learn and adapt. You possess excellent collaboration skills and capability to work independently.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure all AMD specific functional & performance issues relating to Nutanix are resolved prior to AMD product launch
- Ongoing debug and resolution of customer issues specific to AMD processors reported by Nutanix or OEM.
- Collaborate with Nutanix and OEM partners to support OEM Nutanix Appliances launch, customer POCs and Demos
- Support AMD funded Nutanix test engineers with reviewing Nutanix Regression test plans/results and supporting the resolution of any issues found
- Active participation in AMD-Nutanix QTRs and QBRs
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Demonstrated work experience with Nutanix or VMware software and Linux OS performance analysis
- Experience in deploying and administrating Nutanix AOS clusters using AHV as hypervisor
- Deep understanding Linux virtualization and comfortable in debugging libvirt, qemu and KVM
- Knowledgeable on vhost-user protocol and x86_64 architecture
- Experience in C and Python and x86_64 assembly programming languages required
- Experience in VMware ESXi hypervisor and working with high performance CPU's / GPU's
- Linux Storage software and tools experience is a plus.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS
- B.S./M.S. in Computer Science or Engineering or similar field

At AMD, your base pay is one part of your total rewards package. Your base pay will depend on where your skills, qualifications, experience, and location fit into the hiring range for the position.
