THE ROLE: 

You will be partnering with IT and R&D teams to ensure financial plans are operationally supported and strategically focused, securing the greatest return on investment. The ideal candidate should have a bias for action, high sense of teamwork, and ability to speak up and make recommendations in a fast-moving environment.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Provide weekly financial updates to IT and R&D teams regarding current quarter's progress to budget on Operating Expenses, Capital, and Headcount execution.
  • Preparation of financial plans and forecasts for Operating & Capital Expenses with variance analysis.
  • Perform month-end journal entries, accounting & reporting close activities.
  • Conduct financial modelling of potential data center lease contracts.
  • Identify and implement improvements to business processes.
  • Review of major contracts
  • Create and implement business mechanisms that are scalable to help the team make data-driven decisions
  • Other ad hoc projects, reports, and analyses as required.

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

  • Must be highly organized and be able to work on multiple projects/analyses at the same time.
  • Capable of strategic thinking with strong quantitative and qualitative analytical abilities as well as possessing creative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work with, influence, and communicate effectively with core team peers and business functional area stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a complex team environment as well as independently.
  • Self-starter with a positive attitude.
  • Excellent skills in verbal, written, and presentation communications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with strong financial modeling skills.
  • Ability to completely maintain confidentiality and discretion in business relationships and exercise sound business judgment.
  • Experience in supporting senior level executives.

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or equivalent.
  • CPA preferred.
