Market Intelligence & Strategy Sr. Manager

AMD's Data Center GPU organization is transforming the industry with our AI based Graphic Processors. THE ROLE:

The Market Intelligence & Strategy Senior Manager is a high visibility role and a trusted advisor to senior management, market development, and product management team on market direction and segment strategies. You will work with cross-functional team on successful business and segment strategies, provide market and competitor analysis and insights, and lead strategy implementation to achieve BU business objectives and revenue plan.

 

THE PERSON:

The candidate for this role is a professional who is a quick learner and is comfortable leading multi-stakeholder projects, has strong influencing skills at all levels of the organization, is sharp, responsible, and highly organized. The successful person will possess a breadth of abilities and skills, including - data center GPU market knowledge, segment & customer use case for GPU acceleration, ability to define segment strategy and drive action and implementation, excellent marketing and presentation skills, strong team leadership and cross-functional collaboration.

 

The applicant must be a team player with a commitment to meeting deadlines, ability pivot in short notice and an aptitude to thrive in a fast paced, multi-tasking & lean working environment. Some travel (up to 25%), is expected.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and maintain a unit & revenue forecast model for datacenter GPU/accelerator use cases in HPC and AI/ML
  • Interact with industry consultants, analysts, customer and partner strategy teams to gather industry trends, direction and insights
  • Drive insights from market and competitive analysis and summarize for executive consumption
  • Support annual Long Range Planning (LRP) and Annual Operating Plans (AOP) process through TAM forecast and market insights
  • Conduct in-dept research to identify data center accelerator growth segments, capture key influences & success criteria and set revenue & market share targets
  • Develop segment level Go To Market Strategy working closely with product management, marketing and business development teams
  • Define and drive programs to implement strategies and track to business objective
  • Lead & support ad-hoc strategic analysis from BU and sales executives

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in market intelligence, business consulting or corporate strategy roles
  • Knowledge of datacenter markets, segments and use cases
  • Well-versed in AI use cases and enterprise implementations
  • Outstanding written, oral communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task and handle multiple simultaneous projects
  • Highly results driven
  • Strong professional network with 3rd party analysts covering AI hardware & supply chain   
  • Chinese language proficiency (native level) is highly preferred

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Engineering or Business degree from a top tier university
  • Advanced degree preferred
