THE ROLE:

The SAP Enterprise Architect is a pivotal role responsible for the comprehensive design and architecture of SAP systems across various functional areas. This position requires a strategic thinker who can align SAP solutions with the organization's business goals and IT portfolio planning. The SAP Enterprise Architect will lead architectural reviews, collaborate with stakeholders, and stay abreast of the latest SAP technologies to ensure optimal performance and integration of SAP systems.

Driven and motivated with leadership skills with ability to influence and negotiate multiple internal stakeholders.  Manage and deliver multiple priorities in a constrained timeline, with strong business acumen with the ability to establish trust / relationships quickly. Work effectively in multiple time zones with global teams. Excellent communication skills. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee the comprehensive design and architecture of SAP systems across various functional areas, including Finance, Supply Chain, Sales and Marketing, and Human Resources.
• Establish and lead an architectural review board for applications.
• Create solutions that fulfill business needs and offer guidance to the development teams, while adhering to the organization's architectural principles and standards. Leverage use of AI and RPA in the solution set.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, technical leads, and project managers to define project scope, identify risks, and develop project schedules.
• Keep abreast of the latest SAP technologies and trends to identify potential enhancements to the organization's SAP environment. Foster relationships with product vendors like SAP.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on SAP technologies, architecture, and the integration with other enterprise systems.
• Provide data analysis and reports on the performance of SAP applications and recommend solutions to optimize performance.
• Align SAP S/4 and related systems' architecture with AMD's strategic goals and IT portfolio planning, both short and long term.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Extensive experience in the design, implementation, and support of SAP solutions within large organizations.
• Deep understanding of SAP S/4 and RISE architecture, as well as integration with other enterprise systems.
• Strong leadership and communication skills for leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with business stakeholders.
• Extensive knowledge of SAP modules such as SD, MM, FICO, or HR.
• Experience with SAP S/4 HANA, SAP BTP, Fiori, and other Cloud technologies.
• Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Preferred certifications in SAP technology and architecture.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
