THE ROLE: We are looking for an NPI Coordinator to join our team. This role is crucial in managing seeding, logistics, hardware purchasing, and maintaining relationships with SI/OEM hardware vendors. The NPI Coordinator will work closely with various departments to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of hardware and other resources to AMD Partners.

THE PERSON: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual who excels in managing logistics and purchasing processes. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a knack for building and maintaining relationships with vendors and internal teams. A background in hardware purchasing and logistics management is essential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Manage developer seeding efforts and logistics pools.
  • Oversee vendor negotiation and purchase management.
  • Assist in cross-functional management of hardware for seeding, and developer events.
  • Coordinate with SI/OEM hardware purchasing relationships to ensure timely and efficient procurement.
  • Maintain accurate records of all purchasing and logistics activities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to forecast hardware needs and manage inventory levels.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to purchasing and logistics.
  • Maintain and monitor budgets related to hardware purchasing and logistics, for marketing, and non-marketing events.
  • Obtain quotes from vendors and process orders in SAP Ariba.
  • Work with vendor/AMD AP/AMD Procurement to help set up new vendors in the system.
  • Work with vendors/AMD Logistics/AMD AP to ensure goods received are captured in AMD systems and invoices are processed.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven experience in hardware purchasing and logistics management.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience working with vendors.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Experience with inventory management and forecasting.
  • Familiarity with SI/OEM hardware purchasing processes.
  • Experience with SAP Ariba.
  • Basic contract and working with legal experience
