THE ROLE:
AMD GMC FW team is part of MSIP design team, and be responsible to deliver memory controller firmware, for products of Artificial Intelligence, machine learning, Supercomputing, and Graphic accelerator card in data center. You will work with UMC IP design and DV team, emulation teams, platform teams, and software teams.
THE PERSON:
Has good software or firmware development experience. Has good communication and debug skills, and be able to work both independently and in a team. Has concept of IP design flow.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop UMC firmware as part of IP design, based IP development flow, including IP simulation and emulation environment.
- Own UMC IP features enablement in both simulation and silicon
- Debug UMC IP issues found in simulation/emulation/silicon, and drive them to closure
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- IP/software/platform background
- Software programming skills (eg. C/Python/Perl)
- DDR/GDDR/HBM knowledge
- Good communication skills
- Familiar with Linux environment
- Signal integrity knowledge
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelor (4+ years) or Master degree (2+ years) as baseline, in Electrical or Computer Engineering
