MTS SOFTWARE SYSTEM DESIGN ENGINEER
THE ROLE:
The SFH (Sensor Fusion Hub) team is responsible for the development and delivery of firmware and drivers for all the 2-in-1 AMD laptops out there in the market. As a software engineer in this team, you will work on hardware and software. We are a vertically integrated team spanning from firmware development right up to the application layer. As a part of this world-class team, you will get exposure to the fascinating world of sensors and algorithms driving it. In this role, you will be actively participating in research, concept development and design ideation to create world-class software and firmware.
THE PERSON:
We are looking for versatile and enthusiastic engineers who are willing to take on new challenges and find innovative ways to solve the problem. You will be working with a group of engineers to design and develop algorithms for different motion sensors and feature development. We are looking for someone with strong programming skills in C and C++ with exposure to X86 as well as ARM and/or RISC architecture. An ideal candidate should have hands-on experience working with different sensors and interfacing them using different communication protocols such as I2C/I3C, SPI, UART.
Knowledge of device driver development with windows and/or Linux is a plus.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The candidate's primary responsibility is to develop motion sensor algorithms and feature development.
- Design, development, integration, and testing of Sensor Fusion solution
- Includes cross-cultural communication with vendor and customer.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- R & D Industry experience with hands-on with motion Sensor algorithms and feature development. The solution must have reached production.
- Sensors:
- Must have experience in developing algorithms using linear algebra, matlab tools.
- Must have basic understanding in electronic circuit(schematic).
- Must be able to understand sensor data sheet and convert into sensor driver.
- Shall have worked on motion sensors algorithms like Accel, Gyro, Magnetometer.
- Shall have experience with sensor static calibration.
- Experience with STM, Bosch sensors will be an added advantage.
- Language: Must very good understanding of C, CPP and Software Architecture with Data Structure.
- OS knowledge: Shall have worked with atleast one RTOS for minimum 2 yrs.
- Controller: ARM Cortex M4 or any other RISC architecture.
- Version Control: Good to have Git or SVN or ClearCase use experience.
- Good to have working experience with STM development kit.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelors/Master's in Engineering or PhD.
- Preferably relevant experience of 8 to 12 years.
