Job Role and Responsibility: AMD, Inc. is hiring MTS Software Development Engineer to Research, design, develop, and/or test operating systems-level software, compilers, and/or network distribution software for semiconductor operations, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. Understand and define software requirements and architectures. Develop software and tools in support of design, infrastructure and technology platforms, including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases, cloud-based and internet-related tools. Define proprietary platforms, including hardware and software components. Drive software and systems solutions including development and product definitions. Plan, design, develop and/or test software systems for software enhancements and new products. Drive projects or processes of significant technical importance. Participate in code reviews, creating unit tests, authoring detailed documentation related to your work, and working with on-site and offshore teams to deliver the software solutions on schedule. Partake in all phases of the software development including system requirements analysis, coordinating feature design and development across functional and organization boundaries. Utilize knowledge and experience with computers and electronics, including computer hardware and software, applications, and programming, as well as knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. Apply knowledge of engineering principles, best practices, and technologies to the design, development, and testing of various AMD products.

Qualifications: Degree required

Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering, or related field.

Qualifications: Amount and type of experience required: Two (2) years of experience in the job offered or a closely related engineering role.

Specific skills required: The following skills are required:

Position requires two (2) years of experience in the following:

• 3D Pipeline;
• Graphic Standards (Direct3D);
• Code optimization using the GPU or software performance analysis;
• Git;
• Data Structures;
• NET; and
• Networking.
