THE ROLE:

PCIe team is responsible for delivering industry leading high-performance PCIe Subsystem for all AMD products. The main focus of this role will be to develop new features required for PCIe IP including micro-architecture definition, spec documentation and RTL coding, and to close work with DV/FEINT/PD colleagues to ensure a high quality delivery.

People who have the passion to work on leading edge technology, who have good communication skills will be promising in this role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaboration with global architecture team for IP/feature understanding
• Define micro-architecture and deliver MAS documentation and high quality RTL design for new feature development
• Closely co-work with DV team to support IP verification
• Closely co-work with FEINT/PD team to support IP implementation
• Provide strong support for post-silicon validation

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Strong hands-on Verilog/SystemVerilog development experience, familiar with scripting languages like Perl
• Solid background with ASIC design flow with ASIC tape out experience
• Experience on problem solving for Lint/CDC/RDC/Timing and familiar with related EDA tools
• Experience on complex control IP design is a big plus
• Knowledge on PCIE/CXL or other High speed IO protocol is a big plus
• Knowledge on x86 system and design with HW/SW/FW co-operation is a big plus
• Knowledge on ACE/AXI/AHB or other standard interface protocol is a plus
• Fluent English in written, oral is a plus

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• Solid education background of 211, 985 or top 100 ranking oversea universities
• MSEE with 5+ years, or BSEE with minimum of 8+ years' experience
