This AMD (Advanced Micro Devices) team is looking for a person that can help an embedded systems engineer that focuses on the hardware and software boundary of embedded systems. This person will help define detailed technical architectures for our SoC customer workflows that bridge hardware definition, software domain definitions, and operating system hardware representation standards. The role will be a combination of defining long term strategy for tools, open-source standards, and near-term development activities.
An MTS Systems Engineer will play key role in ensuring AMD Embedded SoC customer enablement workflows which is critical to the Embedded market segments (Industrial, Automotive, Healthcare, & others). The following are key responsibilities:
- Lead cross functional teams and execution of tools, HW/SW handoff definitions, and customer workflow optimizations.
- Define system level architecture requirements definitions that can support multiple implementation teams working towards an integrated technical solution.
- Work with program management team to define top-level technical deliverables that are to be planned, tracked and delivered for an integrated technical solution.
- Hands on workflow development, testing and validation of example designs that start at FPGA SoC device configuration through multi-OS runtime SW environments.
- Assist APU/CPU validation, platform validation, and debug engineers to develop/debug system and silicon issues.
- Collaborate with core tools, boards, firmware, and software teams and ensuring integrated solution workflow requirements are addressed.
- Understand system level design considerations including power management, security, isolation, and system level configuration management.
