THE ROLE:
The Sales Operations Manager role is a high-visibility cross-functional role within the AMD Sales organization located in Austin, TX. This role is essential to the success of the Component Channel business, and the Sales Operations Manager proactively works with cross-functional teams to drive optimal business results. Key responsibilities include sales planning and analyses, P&L management, forecasting and planning, quarterly close execution, strategic ad-hoc initiatives, and reporting and process improvements using the latest systems and technologies. This role requires someone with the capability to grow within the position, in tandem, introduce operational tools to support that growth.

The candidate adapts to changes quickly, builds strong relationships across the organization, and always looks for opportunities to analyze data to drive business results.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as the Global Sales Operations expert supporting the Global Channel Sales organization.
- Accurately forecast sales performance and provide business insights and variance analyses.
- Perform sales analyses and provide decision support for Revenue, Margin, and Share.
- Prepare and deliver executive presentations.
- Analyze the impact of sales forecast changes and provide solutions to manage risk.
- Perform quarter-end close activities, support reporting and consolidation activities related to sales performance.
- Coordinate and collaborate very closely with cross-functional teams such as: Regional Sales, Business Operations, Legal, Finance, etc.
- Drive continuous improvements in execution by collaborating closely with Sales, Finance, and Business Units. Coordinate with the systems team and explore opportunities within machine learning.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Proven experience in Sales/Operations related roles such as: Corporate Sales Planning & Analysis, Sales Operations, Strategy Sales, Marketing Sales, Business Operations, and/or Finance.
- Ability to analyze and translate outcomes of sales models and data into insights to drive business value.
- Result-oriented, self-starter, and eager to make a difference.
- Advanced sales modeling and forecasting skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Advanced technical skills (Excel, PPT, Dashboarding).
- Preferred knowledge of SalesForce, PowerBI.
Academic Credentials
Bachelor's degree in Sales, Finance, or equivalent from an accredited University.
