The Role
The AMD NBIO Team is on the lookout for a dynamic, upbeat Design/Verification Engineer Co-op to join our growing team. As a key contributor to the success of AMD's IP, you will be part of a leading team to drive and improve AMD's abilities to deliver the highest quality, industry leading technologies to market. The NBIO Team fosters and encourages continuous technical innovation to showcase successes as well as facilitate continuous career development.
What you'll be doing
- Work with design and verification engineers on the CIT subsystem for next-generation processor designs.
- Develop and maintain engineering infrastructure related to methodology, scripting, regressions, etc.
- Participate in various design/verification engineering tasks such as coding, test case development, synthesis, power analysis, etc.

Requirements
Completion of 3rd year of Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Computer) or Computer Science program preferred. MS and PhD candidates with or without prior industry co-op experience are welcome (all degrees must be related to CS or EE).
- Must have knowledge of C / C++ and Verilog / System Verilog.
- Knowledge of scripting languages and/or Python preferred
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail.
- Understanding of digital design and computer architecture
- Must have good teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be a self-starter, and able to independently drive tasks to completion
