THE ROLE:

We're seeking an experienced leader with a strong background in x86 architecture, Linux internals, confidential computing, and orchestration frameworks. Strong leadership skills, along with experience in cross-functional collaboration and partner engineering, are a must. In this role, you'll shape strategies for software optimization, drive partner and customer engagements, and work closely with product and silicon development teams.

 THE PERSON:

A system software development manager with strong communication, technical collaboration, and people leadership. Create polished written and verbal communication skills to work with on-site and offshore teams, analyze system requirements, coordinate feature design and development with other teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Building and leading a team of software developers focused on contributing to established open-source projects or developing new open-source projects.

• Establishing strong relationships with key contributors and maintainers of open source projects to ensure alignment and collaboration.

• Leading and managing the software development team to ensure successful project delivery and upstream contribution.

• Managing the team's contribution to multiple open-source projects, including ensuring deliverables are on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.

• Collaborating with other teams and organizations to ensure alignment on project goals and objectives, including compliance with open-source licensing and community guidelines.

• Recruiting, training and mentoring team members.

• Providing status reports and project updates to senior management and stakeholders.

 PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Deep understanding of x86 architectures and Linux internals
• Deep understanding of containers, container orchestration and security
• Experience running, analyzing, and tuning of system performance benchmarks
• Experience in managing development projects and coordinating collaborative open-source development
• Experience in managing software development teams
• Experience in the telecom industry is a plus.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or another relevant field
• Master's Degree preferred
