    Job Details
  • 13-week contract position.
  • Candidate will work varying shifts (7-3, 9-5, 11-7, 12-8), 40 hours per week plus occasional call on weekends and weekdays.
  • The Surgical Technologist works as part of the team that delivers surgical care in the operating room.
  • The technologist possesses knowledge and skills in sterile and aseptic technique.
  • The Surgical Technologist also demonstrates knowledge of numerous surgical procedures so the needs of the surgeon can be anticipated.
    Job Requirements
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited surgical technology program or graduate of a military training program.
    Schedule Information
  • Varying shifts (7-3, 9-5, 11-7, 12-8) plus occasional call on weekends and weekdays.
  • 40 hours per week.
    Unit Specific Information
  • The position is for a Surgical Technologist in the operating room.
  • Requires the ability to organize and prepare case set-up prior to the start of the case.
  • Ability to clean, assemble, operate, and properly care for instruments, supplies, and equipment used in team specialties.
  • Expected to provide patient care according to diagnosis/procedure utilizing the procedure cards and following established hospital policies and procedures.
  • Documents procedure changes on procedure cards following each case according to standard operating procedures.
  • Participation in measuring and monitoring Quality Indicators and outcomes.
  • Responsible for pain assessment and taking appropriate action according to standard operating procedure.
