About the Role:
The Security Tools Analyst reports to the Security Operations Lead and is responsible for ensuring the security/tools used in Alcoa meets or exceeds the security standards. This professional is responsible for providing support and be an escalation contact for all the security tool related issues used in Alcoa.
 

As the Security Tools Analyst, you will be responsible for continuously evaluating the functionality of systems and tools to obtain the best performance and usage from each one. You will work inside the Security Operations team (SecOps) to address any security issues and will serve as the point of contact for security incidents (Level 2) as needed. You will assist and support the improvements (updates) of the existing systems/tools and the new deployments via security projects, create documentation, and collaborate with all security operations members to meet Alcoa's security and compliance goals. Additionally, you will collaborate with other Security Architects, Security Engineering and Compliance members, and operational teams to effectively utilize the security systems and tools.


Other key responsibilities include:

  • Work collaboratively with engineering teams and corporate security team during implementation of any new security tools.
  • Create and maintain documentation for all security systems/tools supported by Security Operations team and provide training to all members as needed.
  • Troubleshooting the incidents involving the security systems/tools in conjunction with the vendors to apply the proper remediation.
  • Assist remediation efforts and root cause analysis involving security events/incidents, and other incidents on the security systems/tools.
  • Ability to learn and manage multiple security tools implemented in the organization.
  • Have a deep understanding of the architecture level and functionalities of all existing security systems/tools to propose improvements in terms of configuration and troubleshooting reported incidents.
  • Work with security architect or security engineer during the proof-of-concept activities, systems/tools reviews, and support technologic refresh activities making sure all controls will be in place for new infrastructure. Perform training to security operations team when the projects get completed.

What you can bring to the role:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or information technology. Certifications in the information security system/tools are a great plus.
  • Advanced or Fluent English.
  • Solid IT professional experience.
  • Skills in some of security systems/tools listed here and willing to learn others, preferably in: Tenable, Defender, CrowdStrike, CyberArk. Other preferred tools with experience are LUA (Live Update Administrator by Broadcom), DCS (Data Center Security by Broadcom), Proofpoint, MFA (Microsoft Multi-Factor Authentication), PGP (by Broadcom) and Quest (Privately Tool).
  • Solid experience in maintaining security systems/tools and ability with Microsoft Office tools.
  • A basic understanding of IT Infrastructure, including servers, databases, network assets and cloud services required.
  • Problem-solver with excellent communication skills, a deep technical understanding of security products.
