About the Role
Our Operational Excellence team are on the search for a highly organised Project Officer to provide confidential support to their Department that are located at Kwinana playing a key role in the achievement of major and continuous improvement milestones. The Operational Excellence - Centre of Excellence (OE COE) is responsible for all technical support for Alcoa's operations and also has a development program to meet many of Alcoa's long term technology needs.
In this role, you will be accountable for day-to-day management of the systems and execution of the processes the OE COE team uses to manage their projects and workflows. The role will also support with the following key activities:
Assisting the Senior Project Officer with managing key financial and business processes including Financial Expense and Capital Project execution and providing guidance to project leaders on alignment with the OE COE overall plan.
Supporting in the completion with some Supervision from the Senior Project Officer in providing vetted and timely project information output and reporting.
Driving new and continuous improvements in various aspects of systems and processes and project management practices.
Ongoing monitoring, stakeholder engagement, training and support to ensure all members of the OE COE are compliant with workflow and processes that are required by the OE COE and broader Alcoa management systems.
Assisting the Senior Project Officer to ensure IP requirements are met through the Identity Management System (IDM) and policies and procedures for the department.
Managing other processes required for OE COE operations e.g. End of Lease (EOL), TOPS Timesheets & Controlled document System (CDS).

What you can bring to the role
A diploma / certificate in project management or similar, coupled with strong in field experience, or desire to develop into this role
Experience with project management procedures and systems including previous experience in the field as a project controller, capital controller, cost controller, project service administrator.
Familiarity with project management philosophies and guidelines.
Strong background in Office 365 and associated programs.
A proactive and open-minded approach, an analytical mindset with stakeholder engagement and change management skills.
Exceptional organisational and time-management skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities and deliver quality outcomes.
Skills in written and verbal communication, interacting and building relationships with diverse teams and stakeholders.
An ability to quickly identify issues and provide practical solutions in a fast-paced setting environment.
Capable in working independently with minimal supervision and take initiative when necessary.
Seeking flexibility and open to working three days per week from Tuesday to Thursday.
