About the Role:
We are currently seeking a Production Supervisor to join our production team at Pinjarra Refinery.
The Production Supervisor is a frontline leadership role, reporting directly to the Production Superintendent, and has accountability for managing and coordinating production processes and activities and ensuring activities are compliant to legislative requirements, Alcoa standards and are completed in a safe and cost-efficient manner.
Duties in this role include but are not limited to:
Managing, reviewing, and directs overall performance of a team consisting of Refinery & Process Operators, Area/Senior Operators, Senior/Area Process Controllers or Area/Senior Equipment Carers.
Providing support to the team as the help chain where troubleshooting is required along with expert analysis to find root cause and provide solutions for productivity issues. A key focus is providing expertise in high level tagging issues and overall involvement in tagging.
Responsible for the allocation of tasks which are compliant with the crew's skillset.
Fosters an environment of strong team cohesion and engagement, driving inclusion and diversity within the team.
The Production Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the area they are managing is operating within the process limits and is the help chain to operators for managing the process. Relationship fostering is essential in achieving this.
Contributes to a safe working environment for all personnel by identifying and correcting hazards, ensuring compliance to legislative safety and Alcoa standards.

What you can bring to the role:
To play a part in our ongoing success we are seeking someone with:
Progression towards a Leadership Certificate (Desirable).
High level tagging experience – lock out tag out verification (Desirable for production/refining areas).
Minimum 5 years' experience in mining, production or refining environment.
Comprehensive knowledge of process/production operational activities pertaining to process plants or mine sites.
Demonstrated strong leadership skills, with experience in coaching individuals and developing inclusive teams to achieve organisational objectives.
Excellent safety leadership, with an absolute commitment to maintaining a strong health and safety culture.
A sound knowledge of best practice, with the ability to identify continuous improvement opportunities in manufacturing operations.
Demonstrated ability to make decisions, multitask and work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
Strong communication, influencing and negotiation and collaboration skills with the ability to cohesively work with the wider organisational requirements.
