The Potroom Area Supervisor will be responsible for providing leadership to the operational, administrative and supervisory services in the Potrooms to meet production, EHS and cost goals. Operate pot lines at peak efficiency to gain maximum quality production. Monitor operations to ensure proper SSOP's are being performed and utilize materials and process control computer to control quality and costs. Support experimental projects and maintain manpower requirements.
About the Role:
Provide leadership for instilling importance of safety procedures and practices through use of Human Performance Improvement principles through auditing, assessments, and one-to-one feedback sessions.
Monitor potroom SSOP's to ensure proper basics are performed.
Support in the development of departmental safety and process improvement action plans.
Operate and lead assigned focus teams.
Support departmental ABS activities and apply ABS principles to identify and implement improvements to production process.
Improve and maintain departmental internal communications systems including crew meetings and supervisor meetings.
Schedule and deliver required molten output using EWMA Tapping program.
Coordinate with Technical Process leader around critical processes involving pot cut in /cut out.
Provide occasional direction for Probing /XRD crew as well as Crib attendant.
Provide leadership and coaching for the department's Supervisors in pot diagnostics.
Coordinate departmental audit and pre-audit activities.
Maintain awareness of plant, corporate and government safety and health regulations and policies and initiate department action to ensure compliance with these regulations.
Applies labor contract provisions to minimize grievances. Manages internal and external labor postings and awards.
Assist in the development of new or revised computer controls and reports.
Work with Technical Process Leader to coordinate efforts on developmental projects.
Provide backfill for Potroom Flow Leader
What you can bring to this role:
5 years demonstrated success in relative supervisory experience is preferred.
Associates degree is preferred.
Demonstrated PC skills are required, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS-Outlook.

Base salary: $66,500 - $98,500 USD annuallyTotal rewards packages listed, including base salary and bonus eligibility, applies to US based applicants only. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on a range of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, and competencies in conjunction with multiple components of the Employee Total Rewards Package.
