About the Role:

The primary objective of the Corporate Portfolios Value Manager role is to partner with Commercial and Corporate executives/stakeholders on strategy and roadmap to envision Alcoa's future together. ​The Value Manager will be a trusted collaborator to drive creation, inspiration and innovation. This professional will ensure roadmaps are visible, transparent, and are focused on the customers experience​ & facilitate the process of prioritizing the product backlog with both business and technical stakeholders. A strong customer relationship is a key component to the success of this role to ensure that service delivery meets agreed service objectives and supports Alcoa's strategic priorities. Below are additional key responsibilities:

  • Provide a single point of accountability, communication & co-ordination for all services provided to customers in Corporate Portfolios.

  • Provide consulting strategy for each business area by working with the team and business to understand their needs, strategies and plans.

  • Prioritize investments based on value/impact​ and funding against products.

  • Consults customers on solution design, scoping initiatives, and implementation planning.

  • Aligns solutions with business goals and priorities.

  • Develop and maintain business relationships with key stakeholders and subject matter experts on key functional areas to ensure system needs are being addressed and maintained.

  • Assist in recommending changes for existing products and services supporting continuous evolution and innovation.

  • Expand capabilities for implementing new technologies and best practices to enable roadmap delivery​, including generative artificial intelligence within new or existing products.

  • Identify and mitigate risks related to our portfolio, proactively addressing challenges and ensuring the portfolio's overall success.

  • Observe and report expenditures against budget and forecast and collaborate with leadership to identify/influence change to maximize efficiency and reduce costs over time.

  • Manage the quality and integrity of our business applications, ensuring compliance, privacy, and successful audit results aligned with ongoing compliance requirements

  • Improve and support relationships with external service providers to ensure that business requirements and priorities are being addressed.

  • Support architecture reviews to enable implementation of new technologies to meet business strategy and improve effectiveness.

  • Engage with leaders, infrastructure, strategy and corporate security resources to ensure standards, strategy and architecture are fully aligned.

What you can bring to this role:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical or business discipline such as Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Business Administration, etc.

  • 5 years of experience managing products and solutions to support Corporate Functions & 3 years people management experience.

  • 3 to 5 years' experience with Oracle ERP systems.

  • Ability to negotiate with and influence others and move toward a common vision or goal.

  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate existing processes and propose optimizations.

  • Adept at driving efficiency by leveraging industry best practices and innovative solutions.

  • Ability to work in a dynamic team-oriented environment, demonstrate teamwork and initiative, and function productively in the face of new assignments and the re-prioritization of existing assignments.

  • Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to maintain open communication with internal employees, contractors, managers, senior executives, 3rd parties, and customers, as needed.

  • Problem solving and root cause identification skills.

  • Strong analytic, decision-making and customer relationship skills.

  • Capable of working in a team environment with an optimistic outlook capable of overcoming difficult challenges.

  • Self-motivated, with keen attention to detail and excellent judgment skills

  • Ability to establish new standards for quality, performance, or productivity.

  • Able to prioritize and drive to results with an emphasis on quality.

  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles and methodologies.

  • Working knowledge of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) concepts related to production and regulatory requirements

  • Working knowledge of project management concepts and activities.
