Albany Med Health System is seeking a full-time board-certified clinician educator to join our ambulatory Internal Medicine academic practice. The Internal Medicine Group (IMG) is the cornerstone for the continuity experience of our Albany Medical College (AMC) Internal Medicine residency training program. The program trains 54 residents, with 30 residents in continuity practice at the IMG practice. IMG is a community-based, hospital-affiliated practice with 9 faculty and 2 advanced practitioners working collaboratively to care for the patients in the greater Capital District of Albany N.Y. The practice is also a teaching site for medical students in years 1-4, physician assistant and pharmacy students. The affiliated Alden March Bioethics Institute is internationally recognized, and its faculty collaborate closely with clinician educators. Inpatient admissions are managed by our academic Hospitalist colleagues. The ideal candidate is a clinician-educator seeking to link patient care with medical education and scholarship. Faculty appointment and salary commensurate with training and experience. The preferred candidate will have demonstrated commitment to, and experience in, teaching primary care, evidence-based medicine, at the graduate and undergraduate medical education levels. Responsibilities will include direct patient care, resident and student education and continuity precepting responsibilities.
