We have an opportunity for a BC/BE Intensivist to join our Critical Care team in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. This facility has a new state of the art ICU, and is located just outside of the beautiful Pocono Mountains. Leadership opportunities may be available.

• This position is a daytime flexible block schedule.
• Daytime staff - one physician, two APPs with a census of 20-25.
• Create, direct, coordinate, and supervise the patient care plans daily
• Conduct/order diagnostic tests, and analyze results and prescribe indicated treatments and therapies
• Refer patients to medical specialists, social services or other professionals as appropriate
• Work as part of an integrated team with care management, nursing, pharmacy, etc.
• Assist in patient education and goal setting
• Participate and adhere to all quality metrics and goals as established and directed by Adfinitas or the client/hospital
• Partner with and oversee Advanced Practice Providers
• Submit accurate and timely charges for all professional services performed
• Lead Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) codes and Rapid Response Team evaluations
• Attend committee, CQI and management meetings, as appropriate
• Manage ventilators
• Complete central lines
• Perform intubations
• Comply with policies and procedures regarding department operations
• Establish and maintain records, reports and statistical data
