Safety Management Systems, a division of Acadian Companies, is seeking qualified candidates for the position of HSE Consultant in Pasadena, Tx. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring compliance and promoting a robust safety culture across multiple job sites.
Position Overview: As an HSE Consultant, you will be responsible for assessing, developing, and implementing HSE policies and practices in various locations. You will collaborate with teams to foster an environment of safety and compliance while driving continuous improvement in HSE performance. Key Responsibilities: -Respond immediately to any workplace-related incidents, Manage incident reports, remain available to respond quickly and prepare reports in a timely manner if needed. -Assist with waste profiles and coordinating vendor availability / pricing -Implement occupational health monitoring requirements. -Implement environmental requirements. -Conduct thorough site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and compliance gaps. -Develop and implement HSE management plans, policies, and training programs for diverse work environments. -Collaborate with project teams to address safety concerns and promote HSE best practices. -Monitor regulatory changes and industry standards to ensure compliance across all locations. - Prepare comprehensive reports outlining findings, recommendations, and action plans for leadership and project managers. -Lead HSE training sessions and workshops to enhance awareness and skills among employees and contractors. -Travel as needed. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field. - A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in health, safety, and environmental consulting, preferably in construction, industrial, O&G, or manufacturing sectors. - Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and other local, state, and federal environmental guidelines. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and training. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. - Relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, CSP, or equivalent) is preferred.Acadian's Safety Management Systems (SMS) deploys registered paramedics specially trained as remote paramedics, HSE consultants, and on-site safety technicians, as well as offers an extensive array of regulatory and compliance training services.
