Description
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for auditing the processes of employees within Acadian Client Services, including but not limited to Front and Back End
processes that involve Commercial Insurance, Federal and State Payers,
Payment Posting, and Workers' Compensation in both ground and Air
Services.
JOB LOCATION: This position is based in-office in Lafayette, LA (Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Audit new and existing employees within the ACS Department
● Act as a coach and mentor to staff within ACS
● Determine whether or not the employees and/or processes are functioning adequately, efficiently, and effectively
● Document audit findings for management review
● Recommend any changes, process refinements, and/or education (training) needs
● Other duties and responsibilities, as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Comprehensive understanding of ICD-9 coding guidelines (Experience in coding
preferred)
2. Excellent oral and written communication skills
3. Problem solving abilities
4. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
5. Strong time management and organizational skills are essential
6. Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
7. Familiarity with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services regulations (Ambulance)
8. Understands HIPAA & Red Flag guidelines
9. Ability to adhere to productivity and departmental guidelines
