
Description
Materials Management, a department of Acadian Companies, is seeking a motivated, highly organized, reliable individual for the position of Administrative Assistant, Materials Management. This is a full-time position and the hours are Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm. This position will be located at the Hopkins St. campus in Lafayette, LA.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Serve as department contact for support services

Welcome and escort vendors and guests through the Materials Management department

Answer department overflow phone calls

Generate purchase orders using procurement software

Review and process invoices
-
Monitor and process office supplies and requisitions

Organize and reconcile uniform and novelty item orders

Administer Acadian's internal online store
-
Coordinate and issue You Got Caught cards to management staff

Maintain copy machine leases and service
-
Complete and submit credit applications
-
Provide reporting to management as requested via procurement/inventory software and Excel

Assist with special projects as needed

Create shipments using third-party software
-
General administrative functions
Qualifications:
-
High School Diploma or GED.

Strong proficiency in computer applications (Google: Mail, Drive, Sheets, etc.; Microsoft Office, vendor websites) is required.

Dependable, great communication skills, and positive attitude.

Strong organizational skills; Multi-task oriented.

Knowledge of automated purchasing and perpetual inventory systems, or proven ability to learn quickly.

General knowledge of office supplies and equipment.
