The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) Senior Salesforce Solution Architect is responsible for overseeing the design and development of software applications, including workflows, processes, and system interfaces. This role collaborates with stakeholders, works with development teams, consults on application requirements, and supervises development stages to ensure optimized business operations. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with deep expertise in application architecture and Salesforce, capable of designing multi-cloud solutions that maximize business value.


 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with business partners, stakeholders, and senior IT teams to uncover business challenges, define application needs, and ensure accountability in building strategic roadmaps that align with business requirements.

  • Lead discovery workshops to uncover business challenges and goals.

  • Compile and implement application plans for new or existing systems.

  • Demonstrate application models/prototypes and integrate user feedback.

  • Write and maintain scripts and code, including application installations and updates.

  • Mentor application developers and provide technical support to end-users as needed.

  • Run diagnostic tests and perform debugging procedures.

  • Manage application integration, maintenance, upgrades, and migrations.

  • Document development processes, procedures, and standards.

  • Ensure a scalable, reliable, and available architecture for applications.

  • Design and develop user-focused applications with optimized interfaces across systems, ensuring alignment with architectural patterns, user needs, and required functionalities.

  • Assess the interaction/interface between applications, databases, and middleware to identify functional gaps and address issues.

  • Conduct analysis to resolve operational limitations in application interactions.

  • Establish architectural guidelines and goals for the organization.

  • Oversee the software design process, conducting reviews to ensure consistency, quality, and adherence to enterprise-wide standards.

  • Evaluate risks and defects by analyzing specifications.

  • Collaborate with the development and technical teams to implement solutions that meet the architectural goals and standards of the organization.

  • Delegate programming and development tasks as needed.

  • Generate and update documentation on system features, interfaces, and infrastructure.

  • Provide recommendations on technical resources and development strategies.

  • Conduct research to identify trends in application architecture and incorporate them into development projects.

  • Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

  • Other related duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

  • Proven experience designing and developing large scale enterprise applications in roles such as technical development lead, solution architect, application architect, or enterprise architect.

  • Ability to communicate technical concepts in business language and translate business needs into technical terms.

  • Experience aligning application development with business requirements.

  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as a teammate, resolve problems, and influence others to reach consensus on optimal solutions.

  • In-depth understanding of object-oriented design principles.

  • Demonstrated ability to proactively identify and recommend solutions for security concerns.

  • Project management skills with a proven track record of successfully driving projects to completion, ensuring client satisfaction, and delivering excellent customer service.

  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and manage multiple deadlines effectively.

  • Detail-oriented team player who consistently offers valuable suggestions and solutions for software development, use, and maintenance.

  • Ability to document process flowcharts and map business ideas to technical solutions.

  • Working knowledge of various sequential design processes and modeling methodologies.

  • Experience working in Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid work environments.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Visio, Project, Excel.

  • Strong knowledge of technical best practices.

  • Demonstrated ability to exercise confidentiality and sound judgment when dealing with sensitive issues.

EXPERIENCE

Requirements

  • Seven years of Salesforce implementation, configurations, and customization experience.

  • Seven years of experience designing, developing, and deploying technology solutions.

  • Five years of experience in Salesforce Solutions, Architecture Design/Development Methodologies.

  • Five years of experience as an analyst in a technology environment utilizing software design processes and methodologies.

Preferences

  • Three years of experience with SQL queries and SQL reporting services.

  • Three years of experience with Salesforce Lightning UI in Sales, Service, Experience (Communities), Nonprofit, and Marketing Clouds.

  • Two years of experience with Flosum.

  • Experience with application performance optimization and tuning.

  • Experience with migrations, integrations, APIs, Apex, and DevOps.

  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake.

EDUCATION

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, with a specialization in software engineering, application development, or similar. Equivalent combination of applicable education, training, certification, and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Preferences

  • Master's degree in computer science or information systems.

CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSURE

Requirements

  • Application Architect Salesforce Credential OR Integration Architect Salesforce Certification.

Preferences

  • Certification in Programming Languages (SQL, Java, C#, C++, and/or .NET).

  • Salesforce Certifications: System Architect or Technical Architect.

  • Proficiency in React Native.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

For Colorado Applicants: The estimated hiring range for this position is between $103,448 - $129,360 annual base salary, subject to a candidate's combination of experience, qualifications, and credentials. This position may also be eligible for an annual performance incentive.

For San Diego or Sacramento, California and Washington State Applicants: The estimated hiring range for this position is between $113,344 - $141,680 annual base salary, subject to a candidate's combination of experience, qualifications, and credentials. This position may also be eligible for an annual performance incentive.

For Los Angeles, California or Washington, D.C. Applicants: The estimated hiring range for this position is between $118,272 - $147,840 annual base salary, subject to a candidate's combination of experience, qualifications, and credentials. This position may also be eligible for an annual performance incentive.

For New York Applicants: The estimated hiring range for this position is between $123,200 - $154,000 annual base salary, subject to a candidate's combination of experience, qualifications, and credentials. This position may also be eligible for an annual performance incentive.
