Job Summary

The Lead Business Analyst is an integral part of WorkCare's Business Operations team by bridging the gap between business and technology for the Company's leave administration and occupational health programs. This role will provide dedicated support to one of the Company's program participants through data collection, cleansing, and analysis; requirements gathering and quality controls for dashboards and data insights; quality audit reporting; forecasting; and planning tools.

 

This is a non-technical role but will require collaboration with the internal IT team and external stakeholders to establish a central analytic database and deliver scalable data solutions. This role involves frequent communication with the program participant and will provide recommendations and insights to support decision making and program evaluation.


Responsibilities

  • Facilitate collaboration with clients and business partners to generate data-driven insights.
  • Prioritize, manage, and allocate regular data-related requests.
  • Implement quality controls and oversight to ensure the accuracy of data insights.
  • Extract insights, maintain databases for Quality Audit reporting, and support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Provide forecasting and planning in various areas such as workforce optimization, assessing process implications, and value stream mapping.
  • Take charge of data and reporting responsibilities to provide key insights and visualization tools essential for analysis and decision-making.
  • Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management to ensure the efficient operation of WorkCare.

Qualifications

  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in related field; master's degree preferred.
    • 5+ years' experience in reporting, data analytics and business intelligence.
    • 3+ years' experience addressing business needs through technologies and analytical methodologies.
    • 3+ years' experience in interpreting data, preparing recommendations, and presenting findings to various levels of management and to clients.
  • Skills and Competencies
    • Superior analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
    • Familiarity with most up to date forecasting methodologies
    • Strong strategic and business mindset.
    • Meticulous, strong time management skills
    • Outstanding written/oral communication with the ability to distill complex issues/scenarios into easy-to-understand concepts and “stories.”
    • Capacity to concurrently manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
    • Thinks expansively by combining ideas in unique ways or making connections between disparate ideas.
    • Ability to identify, clarify and communicate the exact nature of internal/external customer's problem or request and make solution recommendations.
    • Notice discrepancies and inconsistencies in available information and bring it to light.
    • Proactively or by request, performs additional duties and assumes additional responsibilities for the optimum operation of WorkCare.
    • Willing to work extended hours as needed.
  • Computer Skills
    • Advanced web-based dashboard development (i.e.: PowerBI, Tableau, Einstein etc.), SPSS, and SQL.
    • Must be competent in the Windows operating system environment, Adobe Professional, Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and learn other software as needed.
  • Physical Demands
    • Requires sitting for long periods of time, working at a desk.
    • Some bending and stretching could be required.
    • Working under stress and use of computer/phone required.
    • Manual dexterity required for use of computer keyboard and mouse.
    • Requires visual work on a digital screen for long periods of time.
    • Occasionally may be required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel and/or crouch.
    • May occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
  • Work Environment
    • Mainly indoor, office environment conditions.
    • The noise level is usually moderate. 
    • Air quality is good and temperature is controlled.
    • Work Environment must be free from background noise and distraction, noise level is acceptable, temperature is controlled. At home set up must meet all Company IT, privacy and safety requirements.

Additional Job Information

The Lead Business Analyst is a direct-hire W-2 role. Contracting of any kind is not an option.

 

This is a full-time, remote position with 5% travel. 

 

Applicants must reside in the United States and be authorized to lawfully work for any US employer. Sponsorship is not provided for this role, including H-1B Visa transfer. 

 

The salary for this position is $75,000-$100,000 per year. Actual compensation offered to the final candidate within this range depends on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and qualifications.
