About Position:
Certifications Required: RN license (Tennessee or compact), BLS.
CPI preferred.
Scheduling Requirements: Every other weekend.
Floating Policy: Rotational with all staff within Parthenon Pavilion.
Patient Experience Requirements: Preferably 2+ years of psychiatric nursing experience.
Requested Skill Set: Foley Catheter Care, Central line care experience.
Must Have: Excellent time management and multitasking skills, Friendly, outgoing, and willing to learn, High energy and positive approach to care.
Advanced Skills Needed: IV therapy initiation.

Unit Specifics:
Number of Beds: 24 total (MCP2A= 12/ MCP2B = 12)
Patient Ratios: 6/7:1 patient to RN ratio
Unit Staffing Description: MCP has a unit secretary available Monday through Friday 0. Parthenon Pavilion has a Director, Manager, Clinical Nurse Leader, Clinical Nurse Coordinators, Charge Nurse, Floor Nurse, mental health counselors, and mental health technicians. Active PT/OT/ST programs available. Attached to the medical hospital with 24/7 access to pharmacy, rapid response, and other resources. Behavioral Emergency Response Team (BERT) available for de-escalation. Medical team rounds daily. Utilizes psychiatry residents starting July.

Procedures Performed on Unit: Most procedures performed in appropriate care areas or the patient may be temporarily transferred to the ED
Dress Code: Black nursing scrubs.
