Description

The Coordinator will serve as the Secretary and Historian for the Staff Council and the subject expert on the bylaws and university policies and procedures. Provide support to the President and Vice-President, the Executive Board and the Staff Council.

Minimum Education and Experience

- Bachelor's degree in related field.
- A minimum of two years of experience providing support to programs or projects or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Bachelor's degree in Business, experience in the Microsoft Suite products (Outlook, Excel, Word, TEAMS), experience with Adobe and survey software such as Qualtrics.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Proficiency in managing multiple projects simultaneously with high attention to detail such as CARE Award process, the scholarship process, and the yearly election process.
  • Responsible for the completion of meeting minutes and agendas for both the monthly Staff Council Meeting and the monthly Executive Board Meeting, while ensuring the timely submission of minutes from all standing committees.
  • Maintain the website and accuracy of information on the website as well as historical records.
  • Meet weekly with the President and Vice President of the Council.
  • Coordinate and support Staff Council events by organizing logistics, managing schedules, and ensuring all necessary resources are available for a successful experience for attendees.
  • Responsible for the reconciliation and management of Staff Council cost centers, overseeing all purchases to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial policies.
  • Provide detailed financial reports on the status of funds for M&O and endowed cost centers, collaborating with standing committees to manage expenditures and budget effectively.

Remote Work Notice
A hybrid remote work schedule may be available. Employees must be located within the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex area and have the ability to be on campus for work activities as scheduled and/or with 24-hour notice. Completion and approval of a UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement will be required upon employment, and use of personal computer, internet, and other standard equipment may be required. Remote work arrangements are subject to regular review and re-approval and may be canceled at any time. Moderate noise level. Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required.
