The Division of Breast Imaging in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology, University of Miami Health System and Leonard Miller School of Medicine, is seeking a fellowship-trained candidate for a full-time faculty position at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Professor in the clinical educator track.

Opening fall 2024, UHealth at Doral's six-story, 160,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility will feature a wide range of specialty services. Our expert physicians and staff will include those from NCI–designated Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center and Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, the number-one eye hospital in the nation. UHealth at Doral will also deliver the latest in urologic treatments from the renowned Desai Sethi Urology Institute.

The successful applicant will join a faculty of 70 clinical radiologists who are involved in imaging at multiple facilities, including Jackson Memorial Hospital (a primary, tertiary, and quaternary care County hospital) and from the University of Miami Hospitals and Clinics. Position Highlights:

  • Active clinical practice in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
  • Participation in the advancement and education of diagnostic radiology medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Provide clinical imaging services, mammography, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, and intervention.
  • In addition to the rich clinical experience, faculty will participate in teaching residents, fellows, and medical students, as well as clinical research, journal club, and weekly multidisciplinary conference.
  • Supervise the performance of technical personnel.
  • Be part of the on-call radiology schedule.
  • Exercise quality assurance as related to the practice of breast imaging.
  • Provide breast imaging consultation as requested.
  • Staff off-site outpatient imaging sites as requested by the Division Director or Chair.
  • Assume administrative responsibilities related to the practice of breast imaging.
  • Participate in teaching activities related to breast imaging as required in:
    • Diagnostic Radiology and integrated Diagnostic Radiology/Interventional Radiology Residency programs
    • Breast Imaging Fellowship Program
    • Medical student education program
    • Radiologic technologist educational programs
    • Continuing Medical Education programs
  • Potential participation in the development and management of new and ongoing clinical research.
  • Serve on Departmental and University committees as requested by the Chair.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a Diagnostic Residency and Breast Imaging Fellowship
  • American Board of Radiology (ABR) Certified or Board Eligible
  • Current or eligible to apply for Florida state medical license
  • J-1 Visa Sponsorship Eligible providers and graduating fellows are encouraged to apply
