The Acute Dialysis RNs are responsible for delivering high-quality dialysis care to patients with acute renal failure or other conditions requiring renal placement therapy. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment, collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team, and ensuring the safety and effective administration of dialysis treatments.

RN job details:
Essential Job Duties:
- Specialize in providing care to patients with need dialysis treatment in acute or emergency settings.
- Provide care for patients with sudden or severe kidney issues that require immediate attention
- Work closely with nephrologists, physicians, dieticians, social workers and other healthcare professionals
- Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions including patient teaching, pain management, and safety measures in relation to expected outcomes and takes appropriate action
- Educates patients and their families on dialysis procedures, diets, and self-care
- Ensures proper set-up and monitoring of dialysis circuits and supplies
Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited ASN or BSN program
- Must have Indiana RN license
- Previous RN experience preferred
- Dialysis experience preferred
- Minimum of one year of experience in an acute care nursing setting
License/Certification:
- BLS certification
- IN RN license
