Responsibilities Summerlin Hospital is a 454-bed hospital featuring emergency services; a busy maternity department with an average of 450 deliveries per month; a Children's Medical Center with a NICU, a pediatric ICU and separate pediatric ER; advanced cardiovascular care, surgical services, women's health and oncology care. Summerlin Hospital is an accredited Chest Pain with PCI facility and a Primary Stroke Center, and has received multiple awards from the American Heart Association Get With the Guidelines program. Job Description: The Clinical Staff Pharmacist provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care through integrated drug distribution, patient counseling and teaching. Clinical Staff Pharmacists fill orders for medications, monitor patient's drug therapies and provide drug information. Clinical Staff Pharmacist supervises and directs supportive staff. In the absence of the Director of Pharmacy, a staff pharmacist may be required to assume the essential responsibilities and perform the duties of the Director of Pharmacy. Qualifications Job Requirements: Education: Bachelors or Doctorate degree in Pharmacy (BS Pharm or PharmD) from an accredited institution. Experience: Minimum of two years (2) required experience, preferably in a hospital setting. A residency in the field of specialty is desired. Strong regulatory and clinical knowledge required. Proficient in USP 797 guidelines. IV Room specialist preferred Technical Skills: Automation experience with knowledge of reporting features Morosoft Office and knowledge of hospital information system.
