Description
Under the direction of the Contract Administration Manager, performs advanced (senior level) contract management work with focus of contract monitoring and other contract management activities for the Office of Area Agencies on Aging. The Contract Specialist V conducts monitoring reviews to determine compliance with rules, policies, and procedures. Routinely reviews and analyzes Area Agencies on Aging performance data to assess risk of contract and program non-compliance and determines trends by reviewing, monitoring, and evaluating contract deliverables (e.g., record reviews, review of policy and procedures, etc.). Work involves the preparation of reports containing findings, recommendations, and corrective actions required of the contractor. In addition, the work involves providing technical assistance to HHSC contractors in matters relating to contract compliance. Works under minimal supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
