Texas Children's Hospital – Austin, seeks an experienced physician with a proven clinical track record to serve as an attending physician in the Neonatology department (NICU) in Austin Texas.

The Division of Neonatology at Texas Children's Hospital in Austin, Texas is seeking an exceptional provider to serve as a NICU Physician.

Set to open in early 2024, our new state of the art full-service hospital in Austin will increase access to quality healthcare for children and women across central Texas. Join the Texas Children's Hospital team expanding our standard of care for families across the state. This position is a rare opportunity to participate in the start, growth and expansion of a BRAND-NEW medical facility and campus aimed to serve the growing population of Austin Texas. This is a unique opportunity to build something from the ground up with the support and resources of a nationally ranked Children's Hospital.

Position Highlights:

Join our nationally recognized team of pediatric specialists as we seek to hire a full-time clinical- provider in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at our new Austin, Texas location:

  • Provide support for quality and safety, lead and maintain clinical excellence and innovation, and serve at a clinical and administrative capacity within the division.
  • Contribute to the opening and growth of the facility. The NICU will have 12 designated beds to start.
  • Treatment of complex patients in the NICU in the new Austin facility. The new children's hospital will support advanced fetal interventions and fetal surgery with a special high-risk delivery unit, advanced cardiac, cardiovascular intensive care, and ECMO. Comprehensive pediatric sub-specialists will be available including neurology, pulmonology, gastroenterology, and cardiology.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a neonatal intensive care unit that serves complex neonatal cases.
  • The ideal candidate will have level 4 working experience as TCH Austin will be 1 of 2 total level 4 facilities in the greater Austin area.
  • The ideal candidate will be comfortable with the task of growing a new campus within an established system and a group of neonatologists.
  • Be well versed in the setting(s) of labor and delivery and the neonatal intensive care unit.
  • The ideal candidate will have a history of participation in research and the featured author in publications.
  • Candidates of all experience levels are encouraged to apply.
  • Applicants must have a M.D., or D.O or equivalent degree, and be Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Pediatrics and Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
  • The selected candidate for the position must be eligible to obtain or already hold an active Texas medical
