Project Summary

Scaling Up Resilient Energy (SURE II) is a seven-year global program that helps partner countries meet bold climate commitments by accelerating their transition to more affordable, reliable, and accessible energy. SURE provides a variety of services to help policymakers, utilities, and regulators plan, procure, and integrate resilient energy, modernize energy sectors, and create policies that enable sustainable energy markets to flourish. SURE also promotes an inclusive and just energy transition to accelerate social and economic progress that benefits more people. SURE partners with governments, power utilities, financial services institutions, and other institutions to provide access to leadership opportunities, quality forms of employment, finance, enterprise support, as well as products and services that enhance the inclusion or economic participation of women and girls in the energy sector. As more countries aim to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050 and reduce hazardous waste, SURE's Innovation Fund supports clean energy technology, energy efficiency innovation, and a circular economy for resilient energy equipment.
