Tetra Tech is adding a Mechanical Engineering Co-op Student (12 or 16 month term) to our Mechanical team based in Calgary, AB.

Your Role:
- Undertake calculations, analysis and simulations from basic or first principles following established design practices as directed by senior engineers.
- Prepare basic design and/or engineering reports when requested.
- Become familiar with and assist in the management of drawing and document lists, distribution matrices, squad check coordination and records management.
- Become familiar with applicable industry codes and standards.
- Preparing and managing material take-offs and requisition packages.
- Interface with project team members to complete assigned tasks.
- Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
- Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.
- Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
- Additional duties as required.

Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a 3rd or 4th year Mechanical Engineering Program or relevant discipline.
- Experience using 3D AutoCad or equivalent considered an asset.
- Competency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Ability to summarize, organizational planning and problem solver.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Sound judgement and initiative.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with others.
