Project Summary
Tetra Tech is implementing the recently awarded five-year USAID Securing Power, Advancing Resilience & Connectivity Activity (SPARC), which will provide strategic technical and procurement assistance to the Government of Ukraine (GOU), focusing on enhancing the resilience, reliability, affordability, and security of the electricity, natural gas, and district heating sectors. This includes addressing the challenges posed by the current war, as well as preparing for future post-war reconstruction in Ukraine.
Position Summary
Tetra Tech ES, Inc. is seeking a skilled Market Research Analyst to support the SPARC project's supply chain and procurement strategies. This role is one-year, and involves conducting in-depth market research, analyzing trends, and delivering insights to support strategic decision-making within the supply chain. The Market Research Analyst will work closely with the Supply Chain Lead and procurement team to gather and analyze data on suppliers, market trends, and potential risks, contributing to a robust and resilient supply chain for the SPARC project. Candidates must be based in and authorized to work in Ukraine for the duration of the assignment. Travel within Ukraine and abroad may be required.
Position Responsibilities
· Conduct detailed market research to assess trends, pricing, and availability of key supplies relevant to the project's needs.
· Analyze and assess new suppliers, providing insights into their financial health, reliability, and compliance with project standards.
· Monitor competitors and industry benchmarks to support procurement decisions and strategies.
· Identify and report on potential market risks that may impact the supply chain, including geopolitical or economic factors.
· Data Collection and Reporting: Gather and organize data on supply markets, vendor performance, and cost trends, generating reports for senior management.
· Forecasting and Budgeting Support: Assist in forecasting and budgeting activities by analyzing market conditions and predicting supply and pricing trends.
· Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with internal teams and external partners to align market insights with supply chain and procurement strategies.
· Continuous Improvement: Participate in initiatives to improve data collection processes, analysis methods, and reporting accuracy.
Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
· Minimum of 3 years' experience in market research or data analysis, preferably within supply chain or procurement.
· Strong analytical skills, with experience using data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI).
· Knowledge of supply chain dynamics and the ability to interpret economic and market trends.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Ukrainian.
· Proactive and detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with USAID or similar donor compliance requirements is an advantage.
