Role Details and Responsibilities:
Tetra Tech is seeking an experienced environmental consultant to lead and provide programmatic and technical support to federal environmental cleanup programs.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects for the federal Superfund and RCRA programs by organizing and directing project teams to support program-wide initiatives and site-specific technical support. They will also use their understanding and familiarity of federal cleanup programs and initiatives to advise federal clients on project strategies and approaches, organize and implement projects and tasks, and direct multidisciplinary teams of professionals to support tasks involving program and site-specific research and analysis, report preparation, development of tools and resources, technical assistance, communications and outreach, and the development and delivery of training. They will work closely with other project and financial managers as part of an overall program team.
General responsibilities include client relations, project management, budgeting and scheduling, project team oversight, and subcontractor management.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant technical or policy field.
- 5 or more years of experience working for, or consulting with, federal or state governments in support of their hazardous waste cleanup programs and initiatives.
- Experience managing and executing projects, including fostering and maintaining client relations; organizing and managing multi-disciplinary project teams; coordinating tasks and activities to meet project objectives; developing and managing project budgets and schedules; coordinating technical and financial aspects of projects, and managing the delivery of project support and technical services.
- Demonstrated experience and familiarity with the federal Superfund and/or RCRA programs including the regulations, policies, approaches, and technologies used for the assessment and cleanup of releases of oil or hazardous substances, the management of hazardous wastes, and the cleanup and reuse of formerly contaminated properties.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Fluent in English and able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow through.
- Self-motivated and able to manage projects and teams independently, as well as meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree in relevant technical or policy field.
- Project Manager Professional (PMP) certification.
- Experience working with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.]
- Familiarity with federal contracting policies and procedures.
Work Environment:
The work environment for this role is primarily an office environment with both in-person and virtual collaboration with colleagues and clients. The candidate will need to be able to travel between Tetra Tech and client offices in Washington, D.C. and attend required meetings as needed. Some domestic travel may be required to attend meetings or conferences, conduct or support training, and conduct site visits in support of projects.
