Tetra Tech is implementing the recently awarded five-year USAID Securing Power, Advancing Resilience & Connectivity Activity (SPARC), which will provide strategic technical and procurement assistance to the Government of Ukraine (GOU), focusing on enhancing the resilience, reliability, affordability, and security of the electricity, natural gas, and district heating sectors. This includes addressing the challenges posed by the current war, as well as preparing for future post-war reconstruction in Ukraine.

Tetra Tech is seeking short-term technical Energy Efficiency (EE) Operational Processes Improvement Specialists to develop and improve the templates for energy audits and pre-feasibility assessment questionnaires, checklists, reports, and reports extracts for municipal and industrial sectors.

The Specialists will:

  • Assess the best available practices of EA performing and PFA development in municipal and industrial sectors.
  • Assess DFU, International Financial Institutions (IFIs), and Local Financial Institutions (LFIs) requirements for EA and PFA reports in municipal and industrial sectors.
  • Develop (improve) templates for energy audits and pre-feasibility assessment questionnaires, checklists, reports, and reports extracts for municipal and industrial sectors according to DFU, IFIs and local banks requirements. 

Minimum Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor's degree with equivalent combination of experience and education in engineering, economics, finance, or a related field.
  • 10 years of experience in the energy sector.
  • 5 years of experience with energy audits and preparation of energy efficiency feasibility studies for industries and municipal utilities.
  • Sound knowledge in energy saving measures identification, renewable energy use, measurements and verification of energy savings.
  • Proven knowledge of different industrial processes such as iron and steel manufacturing and processing, chemical, machinery industries, food processing (bakery, beverage, poultry, cattle breeding, dairy, sugar processing).
  • Experience in energy management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Excellent computer literacy.
  • Fluency in Ukrainian.
