Description
MSI, A Tetra Tech Company, needs an Architect (active position, not proposal) with a US Secret Security Clearance for construction of $600M New U.S. Consulate Compound (NCC) in Erbil, Iraq with State Dept. Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO).
The Project
- $600M 50 Acre New Consulate Compound
- New Office Building (NOB), Marine Security Guard Residence (MSGR), and Consulate General Residence (CGR)
- Staff housing, visitor accommodations, and community center with bathhouse/cabana
- Shops, storage, and maintenance facilities (SPX)
- Utility building (UTL) and vehicle parking
- Perimeter security, vehicle, and pedestrian access control pavilions (CACs)
- The position is expected to last 18-24 months
- 65% Base Salary Uplift as well as provided housing and transportation
- Full benefits included (medical, dental, vision, 30 days paid time off a year, round trip flight home every 6 months)
Position Description
- Provide project with full range of critical architectural, construction quality assurance, and technical oversight.
- Perform technical inspections, monitor construction contractor's quality control program, and review project drawings to ensure compliance.
- Observe onsite construction and determine if construction elements are being installed, formed, and executed properly.
- Review shop drawings and submittals from construction contractor in order to identify problems or noncompliance with design or contract specifications.
Requirements
- US Secret Clearance or higher
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture from a U.S. institution; or a Masters Degree in Architecture certified by the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB).
- 7 years construction experience
