Tetra Tech is adding an Intermediate Civil-Municipal Engineer to our Power Division team in Mississauga, Ontario (hybrid). This role will contribute to the successful completion of projects in transmission and distribution, as well as the renewable energy sector.

Your Role
· Review and authenticate designs related to site preparation, stormwater management, grading, access roads, and fencing for power industry projects.
· Liaise with project stakeholders, including discipline leads, project managers, vendors, contractors, and clients, ensuring smooth information flow.
· Apply knowledge of North American and international codes, regulations, and industry standards.
· Provide technical leadership to the civil engineering team.
· Participate in design reviews, providing expert input on municipal sewer and industrial design, including:
o Site development
o Grading and drainage design
o Site utilities and tie-ins
o Erosion control
o Road design
· Monitor project schedules and budgets, providing regular status updates.
· Attend project meetings and contribute technical insights.
Qualifications
· 6+ years of experience in municipal engineering, preferably in transmission lines, high-voltage substations, industrial, power generation, hydro, or utility projects.
· Extensive experience in site preparation, drainage, grading, and access roads.
· Strong knowledge of civil design standards in North America.
· Excellent communication, report writing, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
· Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and Professional Engineer (PE) license in the U.S. or Canada.
· Experience with Civil 3D, XP Storm, WaterCad, AutoTurn, and AutoDesk AVT is an asset.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
· Business development and structural design experience are assets.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
