Tetra Tech's Disaster Recovery Unit is now accepting applications for Archaeologist. Field Archaeologist will support Tetra Tech field projects based in northern California. Field Archaeologist will support the Tetra Tech field team with compliance with California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and federal National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) environmental protection requirements, for preservation of historic structures and artifacts under emergency operations. Archaeologist will also advise on best management practices prior to debris removal.
Archaeologist, trained by Senior Archaeologist, will conduct required archaeological assessments and monitor both of the DDHTR contractor's debris removal and tree felling/removal crews to ensure they are implementing the ECP and operational permits enforced by Calfire required BMPs and AMMS.
Qualfications:
- Bachelor's degree in Archaeology or Anthropology
- A minimum of Three years of field experience
- Ability to work up to 6 days a week, 10-12 hours a day, outdoors
- Able to travel and work in the Northern California area.
- Must have valid driver license and good driving record.
- If your position requires a Medical Monitoring Exam you must be cleared for duty for continued employment.
