Overview
BlueWater Federal is looking for Technical Writer to support The U.S. Department of Transportation's (DOT) Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO).
This program will provide on-site support for the daily operations and maintenance of the DOT web platform on the Office of the Secretary of Transportation's Drupal Content Management System (CMS). Tasks also include the integration and development of new content and/or websites within the CMS and migration to Drupal 8 and/or possible adoption of a new CMS.
Responsibilities
- Support the development, review, and delivery of project documentation and deliverables.
- Create customer-facing documentation for technical enterprise software and developer tools.
- Clearly document complicated procedures in simple and understandable manner and compose material according to a set standards and templates.
- Coordinate, facilitate, write, edit, track progress, and package documentation for review and approval among the appropriate stakeholders. Responsible for assessing stakeholder needs and developing and executing plans to meet those needs.
- Prepare technically accurate, accessible, and easy-to-use user-facing documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education or experience preferred.
- Must have an active Public Trust clearance.
- 3+ years of technical writing experience
