- Job Details
- The shifts are rotating (day, evening, night), includes weekends and holidays, dependent upon the shifts needing coverage. It could also be at other sites.
- The Pharmacist reviews all medication orders received from Physicians and Physician Extenders and dispenses medications after assuring that drug, dose, frequency, and route of administration are appropriate.
- Reviews patient allergies, past medical history, drug interactions and lab information for any potential clinical conflicts prior to dispensing medications.
- Responsible for inventory control.
- Provides drug information support for other healthcare team members.
- The Pharmacist oversees the work of all pharmacy students and technicians in the preparation of medications to ensure accuracy and safety in the medication use process.
- The Pharmacist collaborates with the Health Care Team on the planning for continuum of care and discharge planning.
- Job Requirements
- Bachelors Degree: College of Pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (Required)
- Doctorate Degree: PharmD (Preferred)
- 1 Year experience working in hospital, or Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) in a clinical setting (Required)
