POSITION PURPOSE
Performs a variety of Human Resources related responsibilities at the professional level to include, but not limited to, employee relations, training, compliance, labor relations, unemployment, FMLA, workers' compensation, ADA, etc.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES

- Consult and coach field leadership and employees with solutions and support on employee relations matters to include interpretation of company policy, job performance and expectations, corrective action matters and solutions.
- Consistently documents decisions in keeping with best practices to minimize risk for litigation issues. In addition, works closely with the legal team to ensure they are in alignment with best practices and solutions.
- Consult and advise field leadership and employees on FMLA, personal leave, ADA and workers' compensation matters, to include consistent communication methods, tracking, training and reporting of information at all times.
- Ensures adherence to all EEO legislation, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and other government and multi-state compliance requirements. In addition, ensures that company is in compliance with any necessary law updates in assigned field area.
- Conduct employee investigations. Analyze feedback, data, and trends to recommend and develop consistent practices and action plans across all field areas.
- Assist HR Leadership with HRIS system administrative requests and updates to include password resets, role assignments, etc.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with field leadership and employees.
- Communicate and consult with HR and field leadership effectively, both in written and oral forms.
- Assess and identify gaps in HR related training. Create and conduct training as needed.
- Collect and analyze employee data. Prepare reporting to show trends in employee relations and voluntary employee exits.
- Create and prepare HR related reporting as needed.
- Respond to and participate in unemployment claims, in a timely manner.
- Adheres to deadlines that are set forth by leadership.
- Maintains confidentiality and sensitivity to all HR related matters and information.
- Ensures adherence to the departmental budget.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability necessary to perform this job.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
A bachelor's degree (B.A. / B.S.) in Human Resources or related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. At least 2 to 4 years related human resources experience is required. Strong oral and written communication skills are required. Multi-State HR experience preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Reads and interprets documents such as operating instructions and procedure manuals. Routinely writes detailed reports and correspondence and responds to questions and/or complaints. Routinely speaks effectively before groups of customers, clients, and managers and/or employees of organization.
REASONING/PROBLEM SOLVING ABILITY
Routinely solves practical problems and deals with a variety of concrete variables in situations where standardization exists. Able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
DECISION MAKING & IMPACT OF ERRORS
Operational – Makes day-to-day and/or daily decisions used to support strategic direction. Decisions often require thought and are structured. Decisions tend to be short term (one year or less) and usually moderate to high cost.

- Able to stand and/or walk up to 35% of the time.
- Able to sit over 70% of the time.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
- Typically works in a general office environment.
- Must be able to work in Fishers, IN office on a hybrid schedule of 3 days in office, 2 days remote.
- Must be able to work nights and weekends as needed to support field leadership.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
- Travels up to 10% of the time, including overnight.
