Hospital: Methodist Stone Oak Hospital Location: San Antonio , TX Unit: Surgical (612) Classification: RN-M/S Shift Detail: 7A -7:30P / 7P -7:30A Building/Floor/Suite information of unit : General Information Shift Details- Please correct information below if needed: Quantity : Assignment Length: 13 weeks Shift/Workdays: 7A -7:30P / 7P -7:30A Weekend – Every other X Call Requirements: No Guaranteed Hours: 36 Special Skills/Experience required: 2 years + ***All travelers are required to float, while on the interview please inform traveler of the Methodist Floating Policy*** Unit Specifics - Information below is requested for better sourcing: Number of Beds : 40 Patient Ratios : 1:5/6 Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : 1 UC on days, 3 PCA's day shift, 2-3 PCA's nights Documentation system: Meditech Floating policy: As needed Hiring profile Requested Skill Set: Must have : (candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role) Must have BLS At least 2+ years of Medical-Surgical RN Meditech charting IV-peripheral start and care , central line care tubes/drains-NG, JP, chest tube, ostomy care Insert and care of Foley Preferred Skills/Advanced Skills Needed : (candidates with these skills will be considered first) tracheostomy care wound vacs /large dressing changes 3 way bladder irrigation Teaching, explaining Patient Communication Board Meditech Experience Preferred Specialty/Unit Certifications Required: (RN ) Active TX RN License- Temp License are no longer accepted Procedures performed on unit: all surgical procedures trauma patients large wounds Dress Code: Include requirements, but most of all not acceptable attire. Scrub Color RN: Navy-scrub top and pant, Navy or white scrub jacket Nail Policy – No acrylic, no longer ¼ inch, clean, no chipped nail polish Hair – Off shoulders, natural color Tattoos – Body art should be covered whenever possible. Body art that is not fessible to cover on a daily basis will be addressed individually Piercings – Visible piercings other than ears, is prohibited.
