Hospital in northern coastal California seeks highly skilled mammography tech for a travel assignment! Experience with Breast Mammography and Ultrasound required and candidate should hold CA ARRT cert in radiology, and mammography, as well as a Mammo cert. Please call Medical Solutions today at ! START DATE: 10/21 Position: Screening mammography – currently Hologic Selenia and Hologic Dimensions machines 8hr shifts M-Sa 9:30am or 6:30am start time during the week and 7:30am on Saturday *PLEASE INCLUDE WITH ALL CHOMP SUBMISSIONS: - do they have epic exp, yes/no, if yes- last time used - email address - interview availability times **ALL RTO needs to be in at the time of submission. NO RTO will be approved after candidate is presented to facility. Documentation needed: * CA Mammography and Radiology certificate copy– our inspectors will not accept the printout from CDPH website * ARRT pocket card – our inspectors will not accept the printout from ARRT website * 8hrs of digital training and 8 hours of tomosynthesis training * Proof of initial training- 40hrs education and 25 supervised exams * 200 mammograms in the past 24 months * 15 mammography related CEUs in the past 3 years * Documentation of when you received your “M” credential in California. * If you only took the ARRT mammography exam and then applied for the CA license, we can assist you on how to obtain that information. * However, if you sat for the CA mammography board exam, we would need the “congratulations” letter on passing the exam. Unit Mammography Technician Notes Obtained by Via phone from Nicole Dubiels- Kim Robinson 3.12.19 What areas do they do imaging? Mammography Certs/ARRT ? BLS, ARRT, CRT, Require-Initial Training Documentation- initial 40 hrs. and 25 supervised mammograms. 8 hours of digital for mammography, and 8 hours of tomosynthesis training. Require 3 yrs. of experience. 15 mammography CEUs within prior 3 years, mammography counts from prior 2 years (200 requirement). All documentation must be provided prior to interviewing candidates to verify compliance. EMR/Equipment Hologic Selenia currently will be moving to Tomosynthesis in the future. Use the GE PACS Imaging Software. Our Hospital EMR is Epic and we would prefer experience. Radiology Supervisor Reporting to Nicole unit coordinator, also a lead tech on the floor. Weekend Requirement 8-4:30p Saturdays- generally a rotating schedule every other Saturday Holidays Closed Call & response time None Scrub Color Hospital supplies the scrubs IV Team NA Shifts 8 hr shifts M-Sa 40 hr work wk. 30 min lunch, 2 15 min breaks. Start times vary between 6:30a-9:30a Floor specific orientation 1 Shift- 1 department day orientation, then the rest of the 1st wk will be observed by the Lead Tech Common types of imaging/studies performed Mammograms- will typically see 23-25 patients per day. Could float to 3d Ultrasound- will cross train (5 CEUs in breast ultrasound required), could also rotate into bone density if they have that experience. one Hologic Dimensions (tomosynthesis) unit Additional Notes They are located off site in a Residential area- approx. 2 miles from the hospital in a beautiful Cancer Center. Additional Will not be floating to main facility- will be solely at the Offsite breast care center The hospital is located in gorgeous Monterey, CA. just a short distance to the ocean, 5 star restaurants, golf courses, hiking/biking trails and many beautiful areas to explore.
