- A hospital in Southern Idaho is in need of an L&D / OB Float RN for a 13 week travel assignment.
- The nurse will be working 12 hour shifts mainly in Med-Surg but will be working in OB when the need is there.
- Job Requirements
- Minimum of one year Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, newborn nursery, and OB Triage experience.
- Okay with first time travelers.
- Prefer RNs have MedSurg experience and be willing to float to MedSurg.
- RNs required to titrate drips: Yes.
- Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Oxytocin and mag.
- Experience or 'Must have' skills listed in the job description.
- Schedule Information
- Shifts & Scheduling: 12 hour shifts, 7-7 Leadership schedules travelers.
- Grouped scheduling wherever possible.
- Scheduling preferences are usually met.
- Weekend Requirements: Minimum five weekend shifts per six week schedule period, may be more based on unit needs and staffing.
- Holiday Requirements: Yes- based on unit needs.
- Floating Requirements: Yes- will be asked to task in MedSurg if Women's census is zero.
- Unit Specific Information
- Unit: Womens Services Elmore Hospital.
- Number of L&D Beds, OR Suites, Triage beds, Postpartum beds.
- Births per year: 200 per year on average.
- Do you follow AWHONN guidelines for ratios.
- Common diagnoses/Types of patients.
- OB/Neonatologist in house 24/7 explanation.
- Anesthesia in house 24/7?: CRNAs availability.
- RT Equipment: CPAP.
- Tele/Monitor Techs information.
- EFM System: Centricity.
- Additional Details
- If unit has a census of zero or 1 may be the only OB nurse in house with the other on call- will have support from the MedSurg team.
- This unit and MedSurg are only separated by a double door so there is a lot of support between the 2 units.
