Unit: Clinical Support Unit - RN Float Pool
What units are included in the float pool: ER, ICU, MedSurg, Tele, L&D/PP, NICU at 3 facilities - Boise, Meridian, and Nampa
RNs will only float in their speciality, will never float to a lower acuity
Common titratable &/or set rate drips: MedSurg- insulin
Charge nurse on all units
Float pool leadership team including educator and admin have a shared email
Nurse aids/patient care techs on the units: Yes, ratios: anywhere from 1:8-10 depending on floor and day
RT Equipment: Specifics will be provided by unit managers
Tele/monitor techs on the units: ICU, ER, Tele, and PICU must read and interpret

Nurse:Patient Ratios: ER: 1:4, ICU: 1:1-2, MedSurg: 1:5, Tele: 1:4, Peds: 1:3, NICU 1:4
Travelers will have an app, 1 hour before shift starts will see what hospital and unit you are going to
Travelers will be 1st to float can midshift float - can float at any time during shift to different units and facilities, whenever there is a need
This facility has a radius rule of 50 miles. Compliance with this rule is required
