Job Details
• Tele Float position available.
• Job is located at St Joseph Medical Center.
• 13-week contract.

Job Requirements
• BLS certification is required.
• COVID Vaccine Required.
• At least 2 years of acute care experience.
• Must be able to titrate drips.
• Common drips include Insulin, Heparin, Nitro, Dobutamine, Dopamine, and Cardizem.

Schedule Information
• 12-hour shifts, full time.
• Every other weekend required.
• 1-2 winter holidays work required.
• Call or standby up to 4 times during contract duration.

Unit Specific Information
• Med/Surg and Telemetry
• Various units with differing bed counts and specializations.
• RNs take 4-5 patients.
• CNAs take 8-11 patients.
• Units include surgical, long-term low acuity, general medical, short stay, cardiac, COVID unit, neuro, ortho, and spine.
• Alternate assignments: Med Surg Oncology, ER Transition Unit.
• Charge RN and House Supervisor present.
• CPAP, Bipap, Trachs available, but no vents on unit.
• Telemetry monitored remotely, RNs verify readings.
• No specific scrub color required.
• Unit-specific orientation provided.

Additional Details
• Travelers will be required to float to cover the need of the entire med-surg division.
• Can be assigned as a CNA if RN short.
• Can be assigned as an entrance screener if needed.
